Intervju med matchhjälten Baggio efter matchen mot Sundsvall, 24/3

Hi Baggio!! Congrats on your two goals!!!!! Since we didn´t see the game (no streaming), could you please tell us about the game?!

Thanks! The game was another good performance by the whole team. There were a few injuries and the guys that came in kept the same level as nothing ever happened. The first half was a bit more challenging because we were not used to the fast field. They watered the field and the ball moved very fast and Dahl and I struggled get across every time and they were able to get the ball just behind us in dangerous spots. Second half we figured it out and I felt we were the better team the second half. They got tired and our fitness seemed to stay the same.

You scored two goals. When was the last time you scored two goals?

I haven't scored two goals in a game since college. I mostly played a D mid position so my role was the play make and defend.

Man of the match, according to the live emission from Hammarbyfotboll.se. Tell me about your performance.

First half my performance was okay. Spent a lot of time running after the ball and trying to cut off passing lanes and in return every time I got the ball I felt tired to push forward and create. Second half we figured their movement out and were able to posses the ball a lot more and get more in the attack. Physically I felt really good. Got a bit tired towards the end but that's expected. I made a mistake and didn't hydrate properly before the game and struggled a little with cramping but that won't happen again.

What about the teams overall performance?

I thought the team, really showed great character today. We played an away game vs a good team and got the result. Even with a couple of injuries we were able to keep win the game. The team showed a lot of fight and a winning mentality. We are becoming a very hard team to play against. Everyone stepped up to the plate and did their job as best as they could. I thought Johannes made some game changing saves and really kept us in the game.

How did you defend, was it high pressure or was the team play more on counter attacks?

We defended with medium pressure and a few times high to get them to kick the ball long. There were a few times where we stepped up high and won a few balls in dangerous spots. I think we did a really good job mixing up our pressure this game.

Have you heard anything about Billys and Max Forsberg´s injury?

Billy has a concussion it seems. He left the game and did not come in. I'm not sure what the deal with Max is. Seems that he hurt his ankle. Hoping both players return quickly.

In terms of stamina, did the team get tired like the in the Jenisej game or did you have more energy during the last part of the game?

In terms of stamina I think we showed today that we are more fit then Sundsvall.

You conceded a goal on a corner, even though you trained a lot on defending on corners. Comments on that!

Yeah we have to get better at defending set plays. We have let two goals in in the last two games if set pieces. It will get better.

In general, are you pleased, both defensively and offensively with the corners and freekicks? Did you follow Gregg´s orders/instructions?

Offensively I am pleased but not defensively and yes we listened to Greg's orders.

What can you say about your opponents?

I thought Svundsvall was a good team. They moved up last year and they showed a couple times against us today why they are a good team. They have a few game changing players and overall they play attractive attacking soccer.

According to the live emission from Hammarbyfotboll.se, Sundsvall was real close to equalise? Comments!

They were close to equalizing but Johannes stepped up big time and kept it only down to one goal.

What is the biggest difference of playing against Swedish teams in comparison to foreign ones?

There was not much difference between the Russian team and Svundsvall. They both play nice soccer.

Baggio!! Thanks a lot for answering our questions, and, again, congrats on your two goals! We really appreciate your time!!

Thank you. Forza Bajen

Endast 14 dagar kvar!!
